Limited edition
The history of HARVEST LABEL began with the timeless bag "FLYER'S," a "work of passion" poured into the work of charismatic bag designer Koichi Yamaguchi.
"FLYER'S" required many processes and advanced sewing techniques due to the uncompromising manufacturing attitude from design to materials and sewing, so production was discontinued after a few years, much to the regret of many. Since then, there have been endless calls for a reprint.
HARVEST LABEL is celebrating its 25th anniversary and has completed a review of its manufacturing bases and costs. With the aim of reviving "FLYER'S," which was discontinued after a few years on the market since 1996, the company began selling the briefcase type 2 as the first item in the revived model on January 1, 2020. The response has exceeded our expectations.
Furthermore, starting May 1, 2020 (when orders begin), three types of "FLYER'S" bags that have been loved by many users - a backpack, a tote bag, and a waist bag - will be available for pre-order exclusively on the official website.
Even though much time has passed since 1996, the design still doesn't feel outdated, and those who remember back then will find it nostalgic, while those who don't will find it new.
We hope that you will once again feel part of the 25-year history of HARVEST LABEL, which has continued to move forward without being swayed by changes in trends or values.
The "FLYER'S" fabric is an original high-density nylon twill with a warp thread of 100 and a weft thread of 200 denier, inspired by the fabric of the "MA-1" flight jacket issued to US Air Force pilots. It is durable, moisture-retaining, and abrasion-resistant, and is resistant to water such as rain, making it durable and long-lasting.
"Bags that aren't at their best when purchased"
This word, which Koichi Yamaguchi used as the theme for his bag creation, expresses his belief that the texture of vintage denim that is created by the fabric, wrinkles, wear, and scratches that usually occur with use, which tend to be negative, is what makes a bag the best, and that it is only when you love it that you feel attached to it. In addition, following the example of the flight jacket "MA-1," which is characterized by its reversible design, "FLYEAR'S" does not use a lining, and the interior of the bag uses the same fabric as the exterior, showing his uncompromising "attention to detail" even with the interior.
