DYNEEMA® Dyneema treated leather

What is DYNEEMA® processed leather?

This high-spec leather is made from DryTan™, an environmentally friendly material that uses very little water. The surface is waxed to increase its waterproof properties, and the reverse side is covered with an ultra-strong, paper-thin, lightweight material.

ECCO LEATHER BV, based in the Netherlands, has jointly developed DYNEEMA® BONDED LEATHER with DSM Dyneema, a Dutch company, an unprecedented lightweight, extremely thin, yet strong leather.

Dyneema is a global premium brand of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, manufactured and sold in the form of fibers, tapes and unidirectional (UD) sheets.
It is also used in high-performance materials such as medical sutures, fishing and aquaculture nets, ropes, slings, blade-resistant gloves and clothing, and vehicle and human impact protection materials.

The front of the bag is made of Dyneema® processed leather, jointly developed by ECCO and Dyneema. The main body is made of bonded nylon that meets the Bluesign® standard, creating a premium FLYER'S.
